"Oval Spot" Seen in the Sky Over Tianjin, China

On the night of October 31st, in the last three hours, a dozen people witnessed two white oval spots.  Many asked if these were UFOs.  Astronomical experts say these spots were light irradiation coming from the ground and hitting low-level clouds.  They say it was a refraction phenomenon, not a UFO.

They were seen in the Wei-Kun bridge area of Tianjin.  People called the San Tsuen newspaper said they saw two white spot oval-shaped spots in the northern sky moving from East to West.  Many people traveling in the area now stop and watch the sky wondering what will appear next.

An asteroid has hurled through space unnoticed by scientists and smashed into the earth's atmosphere with three times the energy of the Hiroshima nuclear bomb.

The space rock, estimated by NASA to be just 5-10m wide, detonated about 20km above the earth on October 8 over South Sulawesi, a rugged mountain province in western Indonesia, New Scientist magazine reports.

Locals in the town of Bone in the north of the province said they saw a fireball and heard a huge explosion while amateur video footage shows a trail of smoke typical of an exploding asteroid.

NASA estimated the force from the explosion was equivalent to 50,000 tons of TNT, making it one of the largest ever recorded asteroid explosions.

Dr Nick Lomb, curator of astronomy at Sydney Observatory, told ninemsn the asteroid went unnoticed because it was so small but that chunks of the rock may still have made it to the ground.

"It's very hard to find small asteroids — the main emphasis is to find big one which are 1km or more in diameter because they're the ones that cause global catastrophe," Dr Lomb said.

"But bits of this rock could have survived and somebody might be able to actually search for it ... it is extremely useful scientifically."

Dr Lomb said the asteroid exploded at such a high altitude because of the huge amounts of heated air piling in front of it.

If the asteroid exploded a few kilometres closer to earth, "you would be very unlucky to be in the blast area," he said.

Dr Lomb said the rock could have easily slipped by even if it was 100m-wide because the southern hemisphere is not closely watched for asteroids.

"Asteroids 100m-wide asteroids could destroy a city and if it's coming from the southern part of the sky, there's a good chance it would come in undiscovered," he said.

"There's only one small [asteroid watch] project at Coonabarabran in NSW which receives only a little bit of funding from NASA ... it's a single handed effort."

The report from NASA on the October 8 explosion said a "fireball event of this magnitude" occurs about once every two to 12 years.

UFOs Over Fenland, UK Again

UFOS have been spotted over Fenland again, with several people seeing strange lights in the sky.

Andy Dowe, who lives in Tilney St Lawrence, watched four lights over the Wisbech area for more than an hour on Friday night.

He said his mother, who also lives in the village, saw them as well, as did some friends from Walpole St Andrew.

Andy, who works in Wisbech, said his son first spotted the lights at 8.15pm.

"The lights hovered and moved in the sky," Andy recalled, "often looking as though they would collide with each other. They would stop and either go what appeared to be up or down. Then they would return and chase each other around.

"They were white lights and sometimes appeared cigar shaped but other times resembled the shape of an upturned saucer. Sometimes the lights would appear as just two moving slowly, then zipping across the sky and being joined by more."

Andy added that later that night, the lights appeared over towards the March area before disappearing.

Ukraine Releases UFO National Archive

It was complied based on people's evidences about strange flying objects over Ukraine. The 'secret files' comprise about 500 eyewitnesses' testimonies who saw UFO in Ukraine starting from the 17th century. According to UFODOS chief Yaroslav Sochka, the materials were collected from various sources, basically, Hydrometeorological Center of Ukraine Air Force and public ufological organizations. In August 2009, the UK National Archives released new UFO files containing a wide range of UFO-related documents covering the years 1981-1996 and describing more than 800 UFO cases.

Spectacular Photo of UFO Over Beibei, Chongqing, China

10/24/2009:  A UFO hovered over Beibei, Chongqing, China.  The object was in a v-shape and flashed in five different colors ( red, blue, green, yellow and white).

The UFO flooded the night sky of Beibei, Chongqing with these lights.  It appears to have attracted hundreds of passersby.  The UFO hovered for several minutes without changing direction.  The people present did not hear any engine or see any means of propulsion.  The glowing UFO color was quite bright  It had a white V font style arrangement, intersected with red, the color transforming every few minutes, and each time a change is a gradual.

Because it is in the evening, the witnesses couldn't get an approximate height.  The UFO appeared for a full half an hour before an airliner flew over not too far away.  The witnesses made a comparison of the height of the civil aircraft and UFO's altitude and said that it was obvious that the civilian aircraft was flying high above the UFO.

About half an hour later, the UFO perimeter light began to flash, and after a moment, the UFO disappeared.

UFO Cow Abduction Caught on Videotape in Argentina

It's a story like a science fiction movie: A UFO is said to have kidnapped a cow in Argentina.  It was beamed upward! These are the claims of TV channel "Channel 3" in a report.

A witness presented to the camera several (very sharp) photos, proving the incredible assertion, and discusses with the world. The event originated north of the city of Rosario in the vicinity of a river.

On display is a dark disc (UFO) and a bright spot (cow). The alleged animal is floating in the air, as if it was carried by a beam of energy - as we see often in movies.

Real or fake? The witness is sure that it is not a helicopter, etc. She says: "It seemed as if the cow was sucked up by the UFO. After a few minutes both vanished. "Her husband who stood by, confirmed the incident.

But why should aliens do such a thing? UFO experts are divided: for medical experiments - or because they could feed on the animals' blood ...

Weird Destin: Is the truth out there?

"I hope that Eglin Air Force Base is testing something." — Fisherman to UFOinfo.com

Should we rename ourselves The World’s Spookiest Fishing Village?

There are many tall tales of ghosts, UFOs and other oddities from every part of the world. Destin is no exception when it comes to these close encounters of the strange kind.

Ghosts of America, a Web site that chronicles haunted happenings around the nation, maintains that Destin is a haunted hotspot.

While most of the so-called sightings seem like nonsense, Destin’s Holiday Inn seems to have emerged as a favorite ghost story setting. There have been a couple of accounts from commenters of strange events there.

Both so-called eye-witnesses awoke in their rooms to see ghosts, including a “tall black shadow of a man standing at the end of the bed,” and a “transparent little boy who smiles sweetly and has long eyelashes.”

It only gets weirder from there.

It would appear that even the extra-terrestrials vacation in Destin, because there are multiple accounts of UFOs flying around our skies on the Web site UFOinfo.com. One tale tells of a “triangular shaped object flying around at tremendous speeds in the early hours of the morning.” According to the story, this UFO looks similar to a flock of birds flying in formation, but can “blend into cloud coverage,” has “lights running along each side” and travels at a speed of “half a mile in five seconds.”

Another account described a UFO that appeared as a “green light” and was seen moving very rapidly and then suddenly stopping all around the Gulf of Mexico.

And of course there was the 1987 abduction that was reported to have happened near Destin. A 5-year old boy was sleeping on the couch late at night when a short robot-like entity approached and apparently floated him up into a hovering disc-shaped object that was above a nearby clearing in the woods. He remembered being medically examined onboard the craft. He was apparently picked up the next day also and given a post-hypnotic suggestion that made his throat hurt when he talked about the incident.

And if you are not yet a true believer, consider longtime Rodeo Weighmaster Bruce Cheves’ tale. He’s been telling everyone who will listen on the Rodeo docks about the UFO he saw a week ago at twilight.

It came from the east and took on three different shapes as it passed by from Holiday Isle to just past the jetties, he says. The first shape was like an X, he said, with bright lights at each of the corners and center. Then it morphed into an egg shape with purple, red, green and gold lights.

“It was very bright,” Cheves said. “And it never made a sound. It just filled up the sky and was so bright.”

Bruce was so inspired he created a UFO division for the Destin Fishing Rodeo.

So far, his entry is the only one on the leaderboard.

Lecture at UNCW Will Focus on Military Concerns About UFOs

At a nuclear missile launch site in North Dakota, a guard spots a mysterious bright light hovering over the location of each rocket silo.

Below ground, officers on duty notice their missiles start to activate one by one.

In the launch capsule, an officer orders emergency procedures when he sees every bomb targeted by the intruder prepare to fire.

UFO researcher Robert Hastings has recorded this and other testimony from retired U.S. military personnel who worked at nuclear facilities over the past four decades. He says there’s a pattern of UFOs targeting nuclear launch sites not just in the United States, but around the world.

“One might interpret that as these beings attempting to send a warning to us humans that we are playing with fire,” Hastings said. “Alternatively, it could be that these beings are planning to invade Earth and don’t want to inhabit a radioactive wasteland.”

A retired laboratory analyst and lifelong UFO investigator, Hastings will give a free lecture and slideshow in the Burney Center at the University of North Carolina Wilmington at 7 p.m. today Hastings says his findings confirm beyond a reasonable doubt the existence of UFOs and their concern to top-level military and intelligence officials.

“I’m trying to get this message out to the public to let people know that this is not science fiction, this is not Hollywood, this is not the funny pages – this is absolutely real,” Hastings said.

In more than 30 years of research on UFO sightings, Hastings has collected testimony from 120 veterans, and reviewed thousands of de-classified Air Force, FBI and CIA documents. He has appeared on CNN’s Larry King Live, spoken at more than 500 colleges and published a book on his findings last year. His presentation at UNCW is part of the campus’ ACE Voice program, a series of speakers invited to bring fresh perspectives to campus.

Decades of research was kindled by a mysterious sighting one night during Hastings’ high school job as a janitor at an Air Force base in Montana in 1967. As Hastings cleaned the radar room, an officer on duty told him they were monitoring UFOs in the area, and showed him five hovering objects on the radar screen. Within minutes, the officer grew tense and ordered Hastings out of the room. Later, the officer refused to discuss what had happened. With that, a lifelong quest was born.

Hastings’ focus is on collecting firsthand accounts from military veterans of UFO sightings and activity during their service time. He conducts careful research to confirm each source’s background, and corroborates each account with other eyewitness descriptions and de-classified government documents.

Hastings believes the government’s knowledge of UFOs is kept quiet out of fear of public panic if the information was released.

Over the years, Hastings says he has seen half a dozen UFOs with his own eyes, including a set of bright lights hovering over radio and TV towers in Albequerque that covered eight miles in three seconds. Though Hastings emphasizes that he is only speculating, he believes that at least one race of alien visitors has been monitoring Earth for a long time.

“I think we’re slowly as a race being acquainted with their reality and presence here, and at some point they’re going to leave no doubt in anyone’s mind that that’s what’s going on,” Hastings said.

Flint UFO Sighting was Likely Plane in Low Clouds, FAA Says

FLINT, Michigan — One unidentified motorist claims to have seen an unidentified flying object — but no one else can confirm or deny the sighting.

The writer of the Internet posting at www.ufostalker.com/event.html?id=20142 said he (or she) was going to school at 9:20 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, getting onto Interstate 69 at the Irish exit when the motorist noticed lights in the sky.

Initially the person thought it was lights, such as those used in a concert, which “criss cross”.

Looking closer, the motorist described the lights as four opaque lights in a tear-drop shape, with dark circles in the center.

The lights repeatedly came to the center and bounced back out, covering an estimated 100-foot span — 50 feet in each direction from center.

The lights as a whole rotated very slow.

The person said he/she watched the UFO for about 10 minutes, which was 100 to 200 feet in the air, moving parallel to his/her car. The object made no noise and was too large to be any type of known aircraft.

“I thought it was the coolest thing ever,” the writer noted.

Genesee County 911 dispatchers said they had no log entry of anyone calling in a UFO sighting, nor would they note one, unless an officer was dispatched to the scene.

Air traffic controllers at Bishop Airport said they could not comment, saying all questions must go through the Federal Aviation Administration.

Tony Molinaro, spokesman with the FAA Public Affairs Office for the Great Lakes and Central Regions located in Chicago, contacted the Flint airport to report that there were no sightings by pilots, air traffic controllers or anything unusual on radar.

“In that area, at night, with the cloud cover, it could be someone seeing the lights of a plane, but not the plane,” Molinaro said.

“That area (of the sighting) is an area of approach for aircraft.”

UFOs Reported in Sutton Skies

KEEP watching the skies – the Observer has received several reports of UFOs during October. All witnesses speak of a strange, glowing light traversing the night sky over Sutton.

Accounts range from an intangible orb to a clearly defined mass bathed in a 'burnt orange' energy. The latter is said to have a plane's fixed-wing and 'nose' design, but bears no flashing lights while it defies conventional laws of physics.

Now the members of the public who have had these close encounters want to satisfy their curiosity, asking: "Do you know what they are?"

They are also wondering whether any more residents have experienced similar phenomena.

The first unexplained report focuses on Saturday, October 3. The Observer did not publish it to see whether additional calls from the public would independently corroborate the eyewitness account.

"We had just come out of a restaurant on Lower Parade and it was about 9.15pm," said a female resident who asked not to be named.

"There was a party of six of us and we were waiting for a few moments following a family gathering.

"My niece suddenly said 'what's that'? and I saw an object flying low over The Mall shopping centre.

"It was like an orb, with a gold light that was almost orange and a reddish glow on top of it.

"Then a second one appeared following it, flying very silently and low towards Marks and Spencer.

"Two chaps were also watching them go over the buildings and we said we would go to the other side of the street to see whether we could continue watching.

"We saw one, but it got so high so quickly."

She added: "I don't know how big the objects were – they were perhaps a couple of hundred feet in the air.

"It was hard to tell whether they were solid objects or not with the glow and no sign of solid shape."

Similar reports filtered through to the newsdesk, matching a spate of national reports during the summer which some UFO enthusiasts put down to special floating lanterns that have become fashionable to release at weddings.

But then this week, a Four Oaks resident contacted the Observer to share an incident from October 18 that he has been unable to put out of his mind.

He spotted an aircraft above Mere Green, travelling north towards Lichfield.

"It was 10.40pm," he said, also asking not to be named.

"I noticed something and thought 'that's a bright star'.

"Then I thought 'it has to be a planet', but it soon seemed to be more like a plane.

"I could see the shape of wings and a 'nose' on it, but it hadn't got lights on and the whole of the shape was surrounded by a burnt orange colour; it was bathed in it. I've never seen anything like it in my life.

"I heard no noise in all the time I was watching which was about ten minutes.

"Then it went up through the clouds, getting smaller and smaller until it disappeared."

He said: "It was most unusual. If it was a plane it would have had lights on and, despite the wings, it was going up vertically just as a helicopter would take off.

"Before that, it had seemed to be just 'holding' in the sky.

"I couldn't say how low it was, or how big and I'm glad it was no closer – you hear of people disappearing.

"If it's an experiment, or a new plane, we should be told."

"UFO" Sighted in Penang, Malaysia

PENANG, MALAYSIA - A 'burning fireball' was seen at Balik Pulau, where an unidentified object was rumoured to have whizzed across the sky earlier.

However, the prank was exposed after the residents' careful observation and found that the shape of the 'fireball' was similar to a burning 'cup lump (naturally coagulated latex)'.

Residents started to gather around the oil palm estate since the rumour of spotting an UFO was spread over Kuala Sungai Pinang and Sungai Rusa. They kept on looking at the sky, hoping to see the rumoured flying object.

A Sin Chew Reporter went to the oil palm estate at Sungai Rusa and waited for more than two hours after setting up the tripod and camera. Suddenly, a floating 'fireball' appeared on the sky.

However, the 'fireball' was not whizzing across the sky as the rumour said. Instead, it was moving up and down above a coconut tree.

The flame caught the residents' attention and everyone was shouting when they saw the 'UFO'. A few young men immediately climbed onto the motorcycles and rushed to the location where the 'fireball' was.

The residents were nervous at first. They then realised that they had been fooled after a careful observation as the 'fireball' was actually moving up and down straightly. The inferred that it was actually a cup lump as it kept dropping blaze.

When they realised that it was a prank, they tried to get into the jungle to look for the person. However, as the only way to get in was through a deep marsh, they could only observe outside the jungle.

The "farce" lasted for about 15 minutes when the prankster stopped pulling the 'fireball'.

However, the 'fireball' continued burning and some residents stayed over as they were worried that it might cause a fire.

Shooting Star in the Sky Provides Excitement in the North of Germany

Bremen/Hamburg - Multiple eyewitnesses called the police stations in Bremen and Hamburg, Germany to report by a greenish illuminating object in the sky. As a spokesman for the Bremen police said, many of the callers excitedly explained that they had seen this greenish shimmering ball fall to the ground. Police suspected that the phenomenon was a meteorite.

After consultation with air traffic control, the police ruled out a plane crash as the cause of light publication. Police went to the places described the callers. According to the amateur astronomers and UFO researcher Werner Walter of Centralen studies power, it was a so-called Boliden verglühe in the Earth's atmosphere. Such things are extremely rare, he said.

Numerous people in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern also were witnesses to the green-white light ball.

Aliens Invade Sochi? UFO Hunter Claims he has Proof

Source: www.russiatoday.com

Chasing UFOs in Indonesia

People were stunned last week when a university student claimed to have photographed a flying saucer in the skies over Blok M in South Jakarta.

Maulana Ibrahim Rau said he had intended to take a photograph of an apartment complex, but when inspecting the photograph on his digital camera later, it showed what appeared to be a small flying saucer to the right of the screen.

Nur Agustinus, 43, one of the founders of Beta-UFO, a community established in October 1997 to investigate UFO sightings in Indonesia, was suspicious of the photograph.

“I knew the picture was a hoax the first time I saw it,” he said.

He thought he had seen that UFO before, and when he went back and looked over his records, he noticed a strong resemblance to a photo of a “flying saucer” on the Web site of a UFO community in the United States. Maulana later admitted on his blog that his picture was a fake and had been intended as a joke.

“Many people make claims that they have seen flying saucers and aliens,” Nur said. “But with today’s technology, pictures and videos can be easily manipulated.”

Muhammad Irfan, 21, the director of a similar community called Ufonesia, also doubted Maulana’s initial claim and was sad it turned out to be a hoax. “I hope Maulana won’t do something like this again,” he said.

Both Nur and Irfan say they have been fascinated by UFOs, aliens and associated phenomena for a long time.

Nur has a degree in psychology, but what he enjoys most is hunting UFOs, although he has never seen one, or an alien for that matter.

“I believe that we’re not the only ones [in the universe],” he said.

His interest in extraterrestrials started back in the 1970s when he first came across tales of natural mysteries linked to astronomy and the wider universe.

“When I was a kid I always liked to look up at the sky and all the stars,” Nur said.

So, together with friends who shared the same interest, he founded Beta-UFO (Beta stands for Benda Terbang Aneh, or Unusual Flying Objects) to investigate reports and document alleged UFO sightings in Indonesia.

Beta-UFO claims to be the largest UFO community in Indonesia.

“Our missions are the documentation, investigation, research, public education and scientific study of UFOs for the benefit of humanity. We collect and investigate claims of alleged UFO sightings in Indonesia,” Nur said.

The group has a mailing list of 1,000 and 80 to 100 active members, who meet once a year in Jakarta for an annual gathering. At other times they share information and news through the group’s Web site, as well as investigating reported UFO sightings.

“We have a special group of UFO hunters,” Nur said. The group sets up camp at spots where many reports of UFOs have originated.

“They’ll stay for several days with their cameras and video recorders ready in case a UFO appears,” Nur said.

“During the 1950s and 1960s, there were many reports of UFOs from eastern Indonesia. But now the reports come from all over Indonesia, with most coming from Jakarta, Bandung and Cirebon.”

Irfan established his community, Ufonesia, in January 2008, with the intention of uniting young Indonesians who shared an enthusiasm for UFOs and aliens. His interest began in December 2005 when he himself saw what he believed to be an alien spacecraft.

“Before, I was a bit skeptical. But after I saw it with my own eyes, I now believe that flying saucers and aliens do exist,” he said.

Irfan said his sighting occurred at 1 a.m. as he was preparing to go out. He looked up at the sky, which was gloomy and reddish, as if it were going to rain. A few seconds later, he said, a bright light emerged from the clouds. At first he thought it was moonlight, but he then realized it was something more. The light stayed still for a few seconds, then it took off at great speed.

“I don’t believe that God has created this huge universe only for humans,” he said.

Nur tells of an alien encounter that allegedly occurred in July 1959 in Alor, East Nusa Tenggara. A police officer named Alwi Alnadad reported seeing six aliens dressed in blue clothes and black boots and carrying gray cylindrical rods. All had wavy white hair and some also wore beards. Alwi reported that a 6-year-old boy was abducted by the aliens and later released in the middle of a farmyard.

Nur and fellow members of Beta-UFO believe the policeman’s story.

Nur said he was aware that many people might consider him delusional for his beliefs. He said it was particularly difficult to convince others that extraterrestrials exist because he had never seen proof of aliens himself.

Irfan said he was also judged negatively for his beliefs. “But I don’t care,” he said. There will be a time when people see UFOs and aliens with their own eyes. When that time comes, they’ll be the ones who are embarrassed.”

Dr. Dhani Herdiwijaya, a former director of Bosscha Observatory in Bandung and former chairman of the Astronomy Department at the Bandung Institute of Technology, said: “Flying saucers and aliens don’t exist. At least we don’t have any proof to back up people’s claims.”

He said that one of NASA’s missions was to find another planet that was capable of supporting life.

“So far, they haven’t been able to do so,” he said.

But Nur and Irfan believe that we already have enough evidence of sentient life elsewhere.

“Some foreign governments have declassified their documents relating to UFOs and aliens,” Nur said.

“I don’t have to see [aliens] to believe.”

Despite Partial Disclosure, Europe's UFO Files Remain Mostly Under Wraps

In the two years since the French made their top-secret UFO files public, more European nations have declassified documents. But the majority remain tight-lipped with a few refusing to even acknowledge the phenomenon.

On August 4, 1990, an unidentified flying object was seen hovering in daylight near the town of Pitlochry in Scotland. Eyewitnesses stated that the diamond shaped object hung in the sky for about 10 minutes as two military aircraft made a series of low-level passes near it.

Almost three weeks later on August 24, hundreds of tourists and local residents observed formations of luminous spheres for over 30 minutes in the sky near the German city of Greifswald, located close to the coast of the Baltic Sea.

In November of that year, a triangular object was seen by numerous witnesses passing over Saint-Germain in the Champagne-Ardenne region of France. The object moved slowly at low altitude and emitted beams of light towards the ground before eventually speeding away.

All three events have many common factors, most notably that each one remains unexplained to this day. But one - the Greifswald incident - is the odd one out. This is because official documentation on the Pitlochry and Saint-Germain sightings collected by British and French governmental agencies are now available to the public after France and the UK took decisions to open up their UFO files.

Some of the truth is out there

The British and French governments are among a select few in Europe to have declassified previously top secret files and experts believe that, while they may currently be in the minority in revealing their documents, they are certainly not alone in having recorded sightings.

"The French released their UFO files through their space agency in 2007, Britain is mid-way through a 3-4 year program of revealing theirs under the Freedom of Information Act, while the Norwegians and the Danes have already released some files as have the Italians," Nick Pope, a former investigator of UFO reports and sightings with the British MoD and an expert on the topic, told Deutsche Welle. "The UFO phenomenon is a global phenomenon; there are unquestionably sightings all around the world so all European countries will certainly have had UFO sightings."

Germany is one of the many European countries which have not declassified their UFO files. In fact, the German government refuses to even admit that it has any UFO files despite the fact that independent organizations record, on average, between 50 and 100 sightings a year in the skies over Germany.

Germany among those remaining silent on UFO phenomena

"Germany has a high level of UFO sightings," Robert Fleischer, the coordinator for the German Initiative for Exopolitics, told Deutsche Welle.

He said that, since 1974, over 500 so-called "real" UFO cases - reported sightings that, after careful consideration by specialized experts, cannot be related to any conventional information - have been recorded.

"However, there has never been any official recognition by the German government relating to UFOs or UFO activity," Fleischer added. "So if the Germans were to open any files relating to UFOs, all we would find out is that they pass all their information to the Americans."

Most UFO cases reported over Germany were only revealed when US files were made public. Germany's lack of UFO research is possibly due to the fact that "the US assumed that role after the end of World War II, although the Germans have never officially acknowledged this or any interest in UFOs," he said.

European governments aware of unexplained sightings

So what do the files made public by the likes of France and Britain actually tell the public about the UFO phenomenon in Europe?

"What these files don't say is almost more important than what they do say," said Nick Pope. "What they don't say is that we have proof that any of these things are extra-terrestrial. What they do say is that European governments have consistently had these things reported to them, sometimes by reliable witnesses such as police officers and pilots."

Most of the sightings turn out to have conventional explanations, like the misidentification of all kinds of aeronautical and astronomical phenomena, but most European governments which have conducted investigations have found that about five percent of the cases cannot be explained, added Pope.

While neither Nick Pope nor Robert Fleischer could guarantee that the initial European declassifications would eventually pressure all EU governments into opening their files, they both agreed that the revelations made public by those countries willing to divulge information could only improve research into a phenomenon that they believe is an issue for every nation.

Partial declassification giving subject more credibility

"I think this disclosure will lead to a greater understanding of the UFO phenomenon," said Pope. "The release of these files shows that governments do have information and if they liaise with each other, we may get further down the line to explaining this mystery because they all have a little piece of the puzzle. Unfortunately liaison is not common in this field."

However, the declassification may be discrediting some common UFO myths and lend credibility to sighting claims.

"When you read about sightings in governmental files from all around Europe with testimonies from military pilots, commercial airline pilots, and radar reports which show these things performing maneuvers and speeds that are way beyond our capabilities, it changes the nature of the debate from an underground anomaly to a mainstream issue," said Pope,"and that has to be a good thing."

Policeman 'Saw Aliens'

A police officer contacted UFO experts after claiming he saw three aliens examining a freshly made crop circle in Wiltshire.

The sergeant, who has not been named, was off-duty when he saw the figures standing in a field near Silbury Hill, reports the Daily Telegraph.

He stopped his car to investigate but says the trio ran away "faster than any man he had ever seen".

The police officer said he heard the "the sound of static electricity" as he approached the figures who were all over 6ft tall with blond hair.

The officer returned to his home in Marlborough, Wiltshire, and contacted paranormal experts and told them he had spotted a UFO.

Crop circle researcher Andrew Russell, who is investigating the sighting on behalf of the officer, revealed how he described the close encounter.

"He shouted to the figures who, at first, ignored him, not glancing at him. When he tried to enter the field they looked up and began running," he said.

"He said: "They ran faster than any man I have ever seen. I'm no slouch but they were moving so fast. I looked away for a second and when I looked back they were gone.

"I then got scared. The noise was still around but I got an uneasy feeling and headed for the car. For the rest of the day I had a pounding headache I couldn't shift"."

Wiltshire Police has refused to comment on the incident, which happened in July, saying it is a "personal matter" for the officer involved.

More UFO Sightings in the UK

NEW reports of UFO sightings have been coming in this week following news of a sighting of "strange orange lights" in the sky by a Penparc couple two weeks ago.

Since the story appeared in last week’s Tivy-Side other readers have reported seeing similar lights. Two weeks ago Nick and Erika Partis saw an orange light above the village, which moved off at great speed towards the east.

This week Cardigan town councillor Nicky Charlton-Lewis sent in details of a sighting from New Quay. She said: "We were having a late holiday in a caravan on the coast. I was out on the decking on the Sunday evening and saw an orange, large bright light, rising up from the Cardigan end of coast slowly upward diagonally."

She added that she and her husband had no idea what it could be.

"There was no sound and the light was fairly large and bright, so it didn't seem to be extremely distant," she added.

Mike Lewis, from Aberporth, reported seeing orange lights in the sky over the village just before 9pm a week last Friday.

"We were on our way home and stopped while driving down the hill near the church to look at them," he said.

"There were four orange balls in formation, moving swiftly. I had time to call home and tell my son and he could see them too from home, heading towards Penbryn. We had never seen anything like it before."

Mike, who is editor of the Tivy-Side’s sister paper, the South Wales Guardian, based in Ammanford, had been working on a story about similar lights in the sky over Betws.

"The theories there at the moment are that these could be weather satellites, but no-one seems sure about that," he added.

Both the Ministry of Defence and managers at West Wales Airport have said they know of no aircraft activities of any kind taking place at the times the orange lights were seen in the Cardigan, Aberporth and New Quay areas.

Russian Navy UFO Files Show Aliens Love the Oceans

The Russian navy has declassified its records of encounters with unidentified objects technologically surpassing anything humanity ever built, reports Svobodnaya Pressa news website.

The records dating back to soviet times were compiled by a special navy group collecting reports of unexplained incidents delivered by submarines and military ships. The group was headed by deputy Navy commander Admiral Nikolay Smirnov, and the documents reveal numerous cases of possible UFO encounters, the website says.

Vladimir Azhazha, former navy officer and a famous Russian UFO researcher, says the materials are of great value.

“Fifty percent of UFO encounters are connected with oceans. Fifteen more – with lakes. So UFOs tend to stick to the water,” he said.

On one occasion a nuclear submarine, which was on a combat mission in the Pacific Ocean, detected six unknown objects. After the crew failed to leave behind their pursuers by maneuvering, the captain ordered to surface. The objects followed suit, took to the air, and flew away.

Many mysterious events happened in the region of Bermuda Triangle, recalls retired submarine commander Rear Admiral Yury Beketov. Instruments malfunctioned with no apparent reason or detected strong interference. The former navy officer says this could be deliberate disruption by UFOs.

“On several occasions the instruments gave reading of material objects moving at incredible speed. Calculations showed speeds of about 230 knots, of 400 kph. Speeding so fast is a challenge even on the surface. But water resistance is much higher. It was like the objects defied the laws of physics. There’s only one explanation: the creatures who built them far surpass us in development,” Beketov said.

Navy intelligence veteran, Captain 1st rank Igor Barklay comments:

“Ocean UFOs often show up wherever our or NATO’s fleets concentrate. Near Bahamas, Bermudas, Puerto Rico. They are most often seen in the deepest part of the Atlantic Ocean, in the southern part of the Bermuda Triangle, and also in the Caribbean Sea.”

Another place where people often report UFO encounters is Russia’s Lake Baikal, the deepest fresh water body in the world. Fishermen tell of powerful lights coming from the deep and objects flying up from the water.

In one case in 1982 a group of military divers training at Baikal spotted a group of humanoid creatures dressed in silvery suits. The encounter happened at a depth of 50 meters, and the divers tried to catch the strangers. Three of the seven men died, while four others were severely injured.

“I think about underwater bases and say: why not? Nothing should be discarded,” says Vladimir Azhazha.

“Skepticism is the easiest way: believe nothing, do nothing. People rarely visit great depths. So it’s very important to analyze what they encounter there.”

Meanwhile Russian Navy officials have denied the collection of UFO-related encounters exists. A source in the Navy’s service staff said the story may have its roots in the reports of vessel commanders, which describe locating objects of unclear but Earthly origin.

“An illusion of a UFO encounter can result from large fish shoals, floating garbage or natural phenomena,” ITAR-TASS news agency cites the source.

UFO as Big as Switzerland?

On the morning of Friday the 24th of April of this year employees at MeteoSwiss (Switzerland’s meteorological department) got the surprise of their lives. Huge circular fields hovering over Switzerland were picked up by their radars (picture above). The blue coloured circles covered the entire country. The question was asked as to whether a massive UFO was in the upper-atmosphere above the scenic mountainous nation or perhaps these circles were signs of an imminent hurricane.

Felix Schacher, a senior Meteorologist at MeteoSwiss claimed the circles were not UFOs or the signs of a hurricane about to wreak havoc on his country. Mr Schacher told the Swiss news site ’20 Minutes’ that they were merely caused by the reflection of water droplets that just happened to form a circular shape.

A few minutes after being queried on the issue the radar images were hurriedly removed from the departments website. Many Swiss UFO researchers have left comments on various internet forums expressing their doubt on the 'reflection water droplets' story, asking why was the image so quickly removed and who ordered its removal.

Mexico's UFO Expert Makes U.S. Debut With Weekly Show on LATV

Program Marks Jaime Maussan's Entry As Host In U.S.

Los Angeles-based LATV this week (Oct. 20) premiered Los archivos secretos de Jaime Maussan, a weekly, half-hour investigative show on UFO sightings hosted by Mexican journalist, and well-known "UFO expert" Jaime Maussan.

The show, which was taped at Maussan's studios in Mexico City, marks Maussan's first entry in the U.S. market as host of his own program. And although the original agreement with LATV is for 10 weeks, the idea is to expand it in the near future.

"The U.S. might beat Mexico in many things; but when it comes to UFO research and information, we definitely beat [Americans]" Maussan told Hispanic TV Update. Maussan, who lives in Mexico, will continue to host and produce Tercer Milenio, which airs every week on Grupo Televisa's Channel 4.

Maussan promises Hispanic audiences in the U.S. a wealth of UFO-related videos and "irrefutable proof" of the existence of life in other galaxies, including videos made from the NASA itself that Maussan and his UFO-hunting team have compiled through the years.

Los archivos secretos is one of several shows making their debut this fall on LATV. These include celebrity-news magazine El Glam Show, music show Discografías and reality Rockstar, among others.

Westmoreland Convention

It's been a very good year for the UFO community — with 350 Pennsylvania sightings, three times more than last year.

There have been disappointments as well, including what some people see as a continued unwillingness of government officials to break with the past and tell the truth to the American people.

It's about time President Obama, or one of the former living presidents, had a heart-to-heart with the public, said John Ventre, president of the state chapter of the Mutual UFO Network at the group's second annual Westmoreland County convention on Saturday.

About 130 people paid $15 each to attend yesterday's events, which featured speakers such as Patty Wilson, a paranormal researcher and author, Eric Altman of the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society and Bill Birnes of the History Channel's "UFO Hunters" program.

"I think no doubt the government knows that UFOs have visited the earth, that UFOs are real," Ventre said during a break at Westmoreland County Community College, where the convention was held.

"But the government believes the public can't handle the truth," Ventre said. "I disagree."

Ventre said the Washington cover-up goes back more than 60 years, to President Harry Truman.

Stan Gordon, a UFO and Big Foot expert from Greensburg, said the government should be more forthcoming, but he is not hopeful.

"My feeling is that presidents find out it's a much higher security level than they thought" while campaigning, Gordon said. "It involves other nations."

The other reason presidents have kept quiet, Gordon said, is that they quickly learn there is little the government can do to prevent objects from other planets penetrating Earth's air space.

"I'm always hopeful any administration would take (UFOs) seriously and speak honestly to people," Gordon said.

Terrie Seech of the Center For Unexplained Events, based in Aliquippa, said it's possible Obama knows some things but not everything about UFO sightings and other extraterrestrial occurrences.

She mentioned a "black government" that acts "clandestinely" out of the reach of not only Obama but of the 10 other presidents who followed Truman.

Ventre of Greensburg said of the 350 UFO sightings statewide from the summer of 2008 to the summer of 2009, about 75 occurred in Westmoreland County.

He said he thought the reason was that he and Gordon are well-known and people weren't embarrassed to call them about unexplained events.

UFOs: Filey Man Encouraged by Conference

FILEY-BASED UFO investigator Russ Kellett says he has had a good response to the first ever UFO conference which will be held in Scarborough later this month.

New evidence about the Silpho Saucer event in the 1950s and video footage of an unidentified flying object are two of the highlights of the event organised by Mr Kellett.

Alien enthusiasts from across the country are expected to flock to the Spa Complex to hear talks from a number of experts from as far afield as the United States and Europe.

The news follows several sightings in the Scarborough area at the end of last month and Mr Kellett said it was still a popular area for UFO reports.

“It must be the sea air and the fish and chips,” he said.

Harry Challenger, the editor of the Flying Saucer Review magazine, will be the opening speaker and he will unveil new evidence about the notorious Silpho Saucer which was allegedly discovered on moors near the village in November 1957.

Mr Kellett said: “He will talk about his time with the magazine and some of the success that they have had over the years. He will also talk a little bit about the Silpho Saucer and has some new information.

“There was something very odd about it, if it was a hoax, the metal it was made from was crystalline – not the normal structure.”

The saucer-shaped object was discovered on November 21, 1957, between the villages of Silpho and Hackness and measured 18 inches in diameter and weighed 35lb.

When it was opened there were 17 thin copper sheets, covered in strange hieroglyphics, and news of the find was reported in the Scarborough Evening News on December 9, when the headline proclaimed: “Scarborough has had a flying saucer – A real copper-bottomed one”.

Rumours circulated of armed strangers combing the moors, offers of large amounts of cash, and messages thrown from passing cars.

Mr Kellett said he would be speaking at the conference on both days and would relate his experiences of alien contact which led directly to his involvement in the investigation of unexplained phenomena.

“I’m going to be presenting some of the most compelling video footage that has been seen – if a picture speaks a thousand words, then a moving picture speaks 10,000 words,” he said.

He added that the footage would include that of an unidentified object at Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough, earlier this year. He said: “We’ve looked at all the possibilities, including vehicles and tractors, and I’m still baffled by it – it was there and then it disappeared.”

Other speakers will include Glen Steckling, the head of the American-based Adamski Foundation, an abduction agony aunt, an animal mutilation expert and Win Keech, who will show footage of the formation of a crop circle in Wiltshire, possibly the only recorded evidence of such an event.

Mr Kellett said he was pleased with the response from interested members of the public and added that he was hoping to stage a larger UFO festival in the area next year.

The conference will be held in the Spa’s promenade and mezzanine bar on Thursday, October 29, and Friday, October 30 between 6pm and 11pm on both days.

Have UFOs Landed in La Pampa, Argentina?

Near the towns of Villa Iris and Jacinto Arauz, La Pampa province, in a field of 50 hectares, hundreds of strange circles could be seen, in which the grass is burnt, and so far the origin of the phenomenon remains a mystery.

Fernando Lehr, an agricultural engineer who serves on the INTA extension agency in the town of Guatraché, told a local newspaper: “When I saw the photographs in newspapers, I told the people that were with me that there are many pests that act like that, in circles,” and that “I had not benn in Jacinto Arauz town or had seen these markings in person, but the forms and the situation is very similar.”

The lot belongs to rural producer Sergio Forestier, and over a hundred circles of different sizes between two and 17 meters in diameter can be observed in the property.

The yellow flowers that are in the field, within the rings are dry, as if they were burned, but outside the circle, they are green and flowering.

Forestier said: “I do not know what to think. I spent entire nights working on the tractor and I never saw anything strange.”

Also stated that “Now there are people who make many assumptions about these circles. I, honestly, can not say anything. I found the circles and I want them to be analyzed”…

And added: “We have been very careful when talking because we do not want people to think evil.”

Ufologist Fabian Romano, toured of the area on a plane and told the online edition of ‘El Diario de Paraná’ that it would be hasty and risky to associate the circles with the phenomenology related to UFOs. ”

He added that “It is risky and hasty to say that the circles are UFO related,” and that “not all circles have the same characteristics. Moreover, not all are right. In the main circle, the plants are in the process of dying, are dehydrated.”

Will pollution help space aliens make contact?

Scientists say pollution on a planet may help aliens spot an advanced civilization.

Forget the giant ground-based satellite arrays, radio signals, or other means of broadcasting our whereabouts to alien civilizations. Planet Earth may have put out the "Welcome" mat as soon as it kicked off the Industrial Revolution. That's because scientists are now saying that our pollution may in fact make us easier to spot from far away -- and vice-versa.

In particular, light pollution appears to be the clearest sign of an advanced civilization. "Observed over interstellar distances, they would reveal to the observer the presence of a technology," say a team of astronomers led by Jean Schneider of the Paris Observatory at Meudon, France. Still, even if we left all the lights on and pointed them directly into space, the equipment used to detect this anomaly -- and filter out light from other naturally occuring sources -- would have to be massively advanced. From New Scientist:

"To reliably detect even this massive amount of artificial light on a planet orbiting a relatively nearby star -- say 15 light years away -- would require an array of telescopes with a combined light-collecting area of 1.5 square kilometres, Schneider's team calculates."

In addition to light pollution, gases from industrial processes might also make certain planets stand out more than others. "The chemicals known as CFCs strongly absorb infrared light at characteristic wavelengths, making them detectable in the atmosphere even when present at concentrations of only parts per trillion," New Scientist reports. "CFCs do not form naturally, so detecting them on a world orbiting another star would be good evidence of alien technology."

Of course, due to the way CFCs were destroying our ozone, they're no longer allowed in the manufacturing process -- so that's one calling card that won't be around for much longer. Still, I have to wonder if pollution might also just cause some wise aliens to skip right over us. I mean, what "advanced" civilization that poisons itself is worth contacting?

UFO Sighted Over Walvis Bay, Namibia

A strange red light in the sky at Walvis Bay had people all a-buzz and speculating about UFOs and missile launches last week.

The strange phenomenon was apparently spotted at 18h30 on Wednesday.

Witnesses' descriptions ranged from an object that "exploded with a loud thud" before "lighting the whole sky in red", to "something crashing into the sea, leaving a smoky trail behind it".

The Namibian Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) sent a team to investigate the "crash site" northwest of Pelican Point, but found nothing.

Grant Hull of NSRI said they had received calls that a plane had apparently crashed into the ocean near Walvis Bay.

"We had to go and investigate. We were out there for about three hours but there was nothing," he told The Namibian.

Port control at NamPort also noticed the streak over Walvis Bay.

The speculation about a missile launch was quashed by Defence Permanent Secretary Petrus Shivute. "There was no such thing," he said.

Another possibility mentioned was that the phenomenon was caused by a meteorite crashing to earth.

"I never saw anything like it in my life; it was just too weird," a witness told The Namibian.

The Pittsburgh UFO Conference - The Kecksburg Case

The Pittsburgh UFO Conference will descend upon Westmoreland County Community College on Oct. 17. It will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Science Hall, 145 Pavilion Lane, Hempfield.

The conference is just outside Youngwood, a few miles from where a fabled UFO landed in the village of Kecksburg on Dec. 9, 1965.

Pennsylvania Mutual UFO Network will present this conference and one at Montgomery Community College, outside Philadelphia, on Oct. 9 and 10.

MUFON claims that more than 350 UFO reports have been filed statewide over the past 12 months -- 51 from Pittsburgh east through Westmoreland County.

Seven speakers are planned at WCCC, including Stan Gordon, 59, of Greensburg, who has investigated the Kecksburg case and has spoken about it a number of times on TV and radio.

Nearly 44 years ago, a number of locals said they saw a flash and that a metal object was found afterward in a gully outside Kecksburg.

Some contend that a large number of military personnel arrived and the object was taken away, never to be seen again, and that a record of the event is sealed in government files. Others say there were no more than three military people and there was no flash, no metal object.

Admission at WCCC will be $15. For more information, contact John Ventre at www.johnventre.com, www.pamufon.com or 724-836-1266.

Cannock Chase, UK Experiences "Strange Lights"

Sightings of strange lights and shapes in the sky are continuing in the Chase area, with residents claiming they have had close encounters.

The Cannock area has been at the centre of a glut of sightings of strange, luminous shapes in the sky.

This week residents on the Pye Green Road say they are even spotting the objects in broad daylight.

Resident Darren Capewell spied the lights just before lunchtime on September 27, on the Pye Green Road.

“It was the strangest thing I have ever seen,” Darren said.

“I noticed something out the side of my eye and thought nothing of it at first.

“But when I looked harder, I could see it was three large discs in the sky. They did not have a colour and were see-through, but I could just make them out. I immediately rushed back into the house to get my camera and capture it on film.

“There is no way these things were Chinese lanterns or whatever people are saying they are.

“These things were moving in a formation.

“There was one each side and one in the middle, making a kind of triangle shape. I never believed in things like UFOs before, but I know what I saw was not normal.”

Resident Caroline Thomas also saw the strange lights.

“At first I thought they were reflections of some sort,” Caroline said. But after staring at them, I realised they were moving in patterns across the sky. It was really weird.”

Presidents and Other Famous Americans Who Admitted Seeing UFOs

President Jimmy Carter: In 1969, Carter was standing outside a Lions Club in Georgia when he noticed a red and green ball about the size of the moon bobbing in the night sky. He said later, “I don’t laugh at people any more when they say they’ve seen UFOs. I’ve seen one myself.”

President Ronald Reagan: While flying aboard the gubernatorial jet in 1974, Reagan and his pilot, Bill Paynter, described seeing a bright white light over Bakersfield, Calif., that soon elongated and flew away at a “fantastic speed,” in the pilot’s words. Reagan later recounted the incident to a Wall Street Journal reporter.

Sen. Richard Russell: Russell, who was chairman of the Armed Services Committee in the 1950s and ’60s, was on a fact-finding mission in the Soviet Union when he spotted a disc-shaped object taking off from the ground near some railroad tracks. An interpreter and aide also saw the UFO.

Clyde Tombaugh: Tombaugh, the astronomer who discovered Pluto in 1930, claimed to see several rectangle-shaped windows of greenish-yellow light while he was working in Las Cruces, N.M. on Aug. 20, 1949. Over the course of his career, he also admitted to seeing green fireballs in the sky over New Mexico.

Kary Mullis: This American biochemist who is responsible for pioneering advances in genetic research claims to have been accosted by a talking, glowing raccoon while at his northern California cabin. Mullis experienced several hours of memory loss and spent the night wandering in the woods but awoke clear of dirt or scratches.

Police Respond to 'UFO' Sighting

It wasn't a bird, a plane or Superman, but residents of downtown Greenwich thought myriad lights in the sky just may have been an unidentified flying object passing overhead Saturday night.

The bright, moving lights in the sky caused several people to call police to report a possible UFO sighting. Some reports indicated there had been 30 to 40 individual lights glowing in the night sky.

The questions prompted police to send two marine officers to investigate the sighting.

However, it didn't take long for police to determine the possible extraterrestrial sighting was actually a bunch of "genuine oriental sky lanterns" being set off at a birthday party taking place on Steamboat Road.

Officer Dennis O'Donnell said it didn't take much work to figure out what was going on.
"We got our binoculars and looked down," said O'Donnell. "We went down and spoke to the homeowner. We didn't want to ruin their fun."

O'Donnell said while the lanterns were legal, the amount of distress caused by the sightings caused them to ask the homeowner to keep the lanterns, which are like mini hot-air balloons, to a minimum.

Lt. Daniel Allen said several calls had been received about the lights.

The bizarre sighting sparked discussion on town blogs where bystanders at the town's teen center had sent in anonymous pictures.

Walter Urda, a town resident, said he saw the lights and while he didn't think it was a UFO, he said it was hard to believe they were lanterns because of how fast they were moving.

"These were being propelled," said Urda. "If it was an air current, the balloons would have been very lethargically moving along."

Urda said the "intense" orange lights were traveling in pairs, and sometimes threesomes. Urda estimates he saw 30 to 40 go by.

"They kind of disappeared into the clouds all at the same spot," said Urda. "I was standing there in total amazement."

Urda said he thought the lights may have been the exhaust of fighter jets moving at a slow pace, or perhaps a strange sort of natural phenomenon.

However, police said they were confident the sightings were from the Chinese lanterns. "The wind was due out of the south, which caused them to have some velocity," said O'Donnell. "They are perfectly legal and biodegradable."

Allen said while it is rare to have calls for UFO sightings in town, it does happen.

"Obviously this particular accident was alarming to a number of people so they called to determine exactly what was going on," said Allen.

UFO Photographed at St Paul's Cathedral

'Proof' ... craft over St Paul's Cathedral

THIS is the moment a 'UFO' whizzed past St Paul's Cathedral.

The mysterious orb was snapped unwittingly by amateur photographer Tim Letten as he took took a pic for a competition.

The object was caught head on in the stunning shot as Tim took a photo of the famous London landmark.

But the keen snapper did not notice the mystery craft until he put his photos on his computer at home.

Tim, 43, from Essex, said: "I was taking pictures along the river for a competition and captured a picture of an object flying across the sky which I thought was an aeroplane.

"When I got home I put it on my computer, zoomed in and thought 'It must be a UFO!'"

And the photo has definitely convinced Tim that we're not alone.

The excited designer said: "Looking at that, if anyone doesn't believe, they must be mad!"

Tutu-Wearing Alien Spotted in Winchester

I read this today and just had to add it.  ENJOY!

Councillor has an out-of-this-world experience with a ‘ballerina-like alien’

Sunday, October 4, 2009

Time and space: Adrian Hicks poses on the spot where he saw the alien Winchester councillor Adrian Hicks is on the search for an alien dressed like a ballerina that he spotted five years ago.

Visible only to the chosen few, the pretty blonde female UFO interloper is said to shuffle along the pavement in a penguin-like walk, wearing only a white ballet outfit and broad smile.

No one else apparently bats an eyelid.

Is it here, in this quiet Hampshire backwater, that 'the invasion' has started? Yes, according to Councillor Hicks.

He says he saw the ballerina-like alien under the city's Guildhall clock five years ago but has only now come clean about his strange encounter.

'It was staggering – I am not usually lost for words but I was that day,' he said.

'She was a humanoid walking with a penguin-like gait.

'She had very large oval eyes and was twirling her hands in a circular motion. She was laughing and seemed to be enjoying herself. She was human enough to get away with it,' he added.

And the intrigue doesn't end there. Mr Hicks, who has spent £400 perfecting an artist's impression of the alien, believes she is linked to covert US and British military operations at a nearby base.

'UFOs are flying in and out of the military base – Winchester is the UFO capital of Europe,' he added.

Mr Hicks, a Lib Dem councillor for the city, claims he saw the alien in January or February 2004.

He said other shoppers also saw her but no one had admitted it. The hospital technician also regrets not plucking up the courage to speak to her.

He has not spoken about the day for fear he would jeopardise his chances of winning a council seat, he added.

His colleagues, he says, are 'in denial' about the existence of aliens in Winchester.

UFO Falls From The Sky in Kazakhstan

Residents of a western Kazakhstan town reported that they witnessed two silver objects fall from the sky on Wednesday night

“It was at about 3AM. I was standing by my tractor when the guys started shouting: ‘Look, there are some balls flying.’ They were big and sparkling with yellow, red and green,” an eyewitness told Interfax news agency over the phone.

According to the witnesses, the spherical objects were approximately 60 cm in diameter, had a silvery surface with what appeared to be a small opening. The UFOs failed to bend or dent when local residents attempted to strike them with their tools, and said the balls produced sparks when they attempted to do so.

A preliminary investigation has failed to identify the strange objects, but according to head of the local emergencies service Aleksandr Ivanov, they are most likely “fragments of a man-made aircraft.”

He also noted that the region where the two spherical objects were discovered has no history of similar incidences.

“Objects fall on the areas bordering the Russian military test range Kapustin Yar, but here it’s a rare thing. I’d say it’s a first,” he said.

The balls were found to pose no immediate threat to public health or the environment and were sent for further research to “a specialized organization.”

UFOs Spotted Over Eastern China

Two unidentified misty white objects were spotted by people in China’s Shandong Province on Friday, local media reports.

Witnesses saw the oval-shaped UFOs over a large area stretching about 300 km from the city of Weifang in the east, to the western region of Dezhou.

Some witnesses described them as cloud-like, while others mentioned that the objects had lights behind them as they moved. A local news cameraman in the province capital Jinan caught the objects on camera and uploaded the footage on the internet.

Earlier in December, the Chinese military released a declassified video of a strange object flying over Shanghai city. The footage was made some 20 years ago by a military aircraft pilot.

Ufologists believe that China’s Mount Everest plays hosts to a huge alien base somewhere beneath its surface.

UFO Hovers Over Chongqing For 30 Minutes

BEIJING
At about 10 pm on the evening of August 23 2009, a UFO appeared in the sky above Beibei Binjiang Road in Chongqing. The UFO was "V" shaped and its color changed in the order of red, blue, green, yellow and white at short intervals. Hundreds of people watched but no one heard any sound produced by engines or propulsion equipment.

During the half hour that the UFO appeared, a civil airplane passed by. Witnesses compared the civil airplane to the UFO and discovered that the UFO was obviously flying at a higher attitude.

After hovering for about half an hour, the periphery of the UFO began to twinkle and then it disappeared in the night sky.

Russian Navy: 50% of UFO Encounters are Connected with Oceans

UFO: Movie: 'The Fourth Kind'

MOVIE: THE FOURTH KIND

I just checked out the trailer to The Fourth Kind.  Holy cow this looks great!  I can't wait to see it.  Blog back what you think of it or if you have had a similar experience.

In theaters: November 6, 2009

1n 1972, a scale of measurement was established for alien encounters. When a UFO is sighted, it is called an encounter of the first kind. When evidence is collected, it is known as an encounter of the second kind. When contact is made with extraterrestrials, it is the third kind. The next level, abduction, is the fourth kind. This encounter has been the most difficult to document…until now. Structured unlike any film before it, The Fourth Kind is a provocative thriller set in modern-day Nome, Alaska, where -- mysteriously since the 1960s -- a disproportionate number of the population has been reported missing every year. Despite multiple FBI investigations of the region, the truth has never been discovered. Here in this remote region, psychologist Dr. Abigail Tyler (Milla Jovovich) began videotaping sessions with traumatized patients and unwittingly discovered some of the most disturbing evidence of alien abduction ever documented. Using never-before-seen archival footage that is integrated into the film, The Fourth Kind exposes the terrified revelations of multiple witnesses. Their accounts of being visited by alien figures all share disturbingly identical details, the validity of which is investigated throughout the film.
